How to Edit an Mp3 File Download

Mp3 download is a file that is used on the Macintosh or PC and on mp3 players.You can reduce the size of the file without interfering with sound quality of the mp3 songs that you have downloaded. If you downloaded a very big file you need not worry because you will be able to edit the files. Using the right tools you can be able to edit the properties of each and every file. When you edit files you can store information like the song title, the artist life history, album and the lyrics.

You will require a computer so that you can be able to edit the files. You will also require windows media player which is already installed when you install Windows Xp.

Here is the procedure that should be followed:

- Go to Windows Media player on your computer and right click to open the windows media player. It must have mp3 downloaded files which you will be editing.

- At the top of the menu bar of the windows media player there is an icon that is written "library", click on it and it is suppose to bring you your own music library on the window itself. The library is the place where the entire mp3 music that you have downloaded on the computer will show and you can now edit each and every file either individually or in bulk.

- If the downloded mp3 file has not shown up, you have no option but to manually import the entire downloaded mp3 file. On the library icon on the tool bar click that button and it is suppose to bring a drop-down menu box then Click the button and on the menu that will appear click on the place that has been written "add to library".

- When the "add library" box appears, it allows you to select and add folders which contain all the mp3 file that you downloaded. All the folders that you want to edit and have mp3 file and add them. After adding all the files that contains the mp3 files click "OK" and it is suppose to automatically import the entire mp3 files that you have into the media player library for further editing.

- Now go back to the library window with all the Mp3 downloaded files, you need to select the downloaded mp3 that have files properties that you want to edit. Select all the mp3 file that you want to edit, right click and on the menu bar there is another icon that is written advanced "Tag Editor".

- The advanced "tag editor" brings the file property editing window. On the advanced tag editor you can be able to change each and every editable mp3 files. The functions that you can be able to perform includes: giving titles to the mp3 download, naming the artist/ album there are so many things that you can be able to perform. When you have finished editing click OK and the program will automatically update which mp3 file you had selected to edit.

- Once you are through and satisfied with changes that you have done, you can now close the program.

Editing Mp3 file is very easy only if you follow the right procedure. This method is only applicable to consumers who have windows media player. There are so many programs that can perform the same task. Other programs are free while others are not.
